Day 1 Nairobi to Amboseli
Your safari starts with your pick-up from your hotel or airport in Nairobi and travel to Amboseli National Park. You’ll have lunch and rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The park offers sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a variety of birdlife. Afterwards, head back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 Full day in Amboseli National Park
Today’s itinerary is flexible; you can discuss and arrange this with your guide. You can either have a relaxed breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, and later return to the camp late in the afternoon.
Alternatively, you can depart at 6 am on an early morning game drive and return to your accommodation for breakfast, and relax for the rest of the day. We will depart at 4 pm on an afternoon game drive and return at 6.30 pm to the camp for dinner and our overnight stay.
Day 3 Amboseli to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, we depart Amboseli and head north toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a leading conservation area in Kenya. Upon arrival, we enjoy lunch followed by an exciting afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is home to the Big Five and is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa.
We also stop at Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where rescued chimpanzees are protected and rehabilitated.
Day 4 Ol Pejeta to Samburu National Reserve
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Ol Pejeta before continuing our journey north to the rugged landscapes of Samburu National Reserve.
After lunch, enjoy an introductory game drive in Samburu, a region known for its unique wildlife species adapted to semi-arid conditions. The highlight of the park is the Special Samburu Five, which includes Grevy’s zebra and the Somali ostrich. You’ll also learn a thing or two about the Samburu tribe.
Day 5 Full day in Samburu National Park
Spend a full day exploring Samburu’s untamed wilderness. Morning and afternoon game drives allow us to track wildlife along the riverbanks where animals gather to drink. We encounter elephants, lions, leopards, and crocodiles, along with rare northern species found only in this region.
Day 6 Samburu to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, we depart Samburu and descend into the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where hippos and water birds thrive in the freshwater ecosystem. Also, you can take a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where giraffes, zebras, and antelopes roam freely among visitors.
This day offers a refreshing contrast to the rugged northern landscapes.
Day 7 Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara with a stop at Hell's Gate National Park
We’ll continue our journey toward the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, stopping at Hell’s Gate National Park along the way. You have a chance for a cycling safari and hiking in the gorges of the park.
After this active morning, we proceed to the Masai Mara region, arriving in time for dinner and rest at our lodge or camp.
Day 8 Full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
This entire day is dedicated towards exploring the world-famous Masai Mara, one of Africa’s top safari destinations. Early morning game drives take us deep into the savannah in search of the Big Five.
The vast plains are also home to cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeests, and countless herbivores. During migration season, we witness the spectacular movement of thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing our afternoon game drive.
Day 9 Full day in Masai Mara
We spend another full day in the Masai Mara to fully absorb its unmatched wildlife richness. Optional activities include: hot air balloon safari at sunrise, guided nature walks, and cultural visits to a Maasai village.
We continue tracking predators and observing dramatic wildlife interactions across the savannah. Every moment in the Mara delivers something new and memorable.
Day 10 Masai Mara to Nairobi
Depending on your flight details, you will organize the details of your departure from Masai Mara with your guide. You will be transferred to your Nairobi location or to the airport for your home-bound flight.
In Nairobi, you can also request optional excursions, including the Giraffe Centre, National Museum, Bomas of Kenya, Kazuri Beads Centre, or the Karen Blixen Museum
