Tour Plan
Day 1 Nairobi to Amboseli
Your safari starts from your Nairobi hotel or airport, then heads to Amboseli National Park. You’ll arrive in Amboseli in the afternoon and check into your lodge/camp. Later, enjoy a game drive. Amboseli is home to over 1600 elephants from 56 different families. You can spot zebras, monkeys, lions, gazelles, and other animals in the park.
Day 2 Full day in Amboseli National Park
Today’s itinerary is flexible, and you can discuss with your guide and plan for the day’s schedule.
You can either have breakfast and depart for a full-day game drive at around 7:30 am. You’ll carry your picnic lunch with you. Return to the lodge/camp late in the afternoon.
Alternatively, you can depart on an early morning game drive. Later, you’ll return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax until midafternoon. Then, at 4:00 pm, depart on an afternoon game drive.
Day 3 Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you’ll head to Naivasha. You can stop at the Rift Valley viewpoints to snap some pictures. Continue to Lake Naivasha, where you can enjoy a boat ride or a walking safari in an animal sanctuary. There are giraffes and zebras at the sanctuary.
You’ll have an overnight stay at your lodge/camp.
Day 4 Hell's Gate National Park to Lake Nakuru National park
Have breakfast at the lodge and then head to Hell’s Gate National Park. Here you have a chance for hiking or a cycling safari. There are cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, and belching plumes of geothermal steam at the park.
You will later head to Lake Nakuru.
Day 5 Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve
Today’s itinerary involves an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Highlights include spotting black and white rhinos and many other wildlife species.
After the game drive, we head to the Masai Mara National Reserve. In the evening, you can visit a Masai village to learn about the old tribe’s culture.
Day 6 Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Today’s itinerary is flexible, and you can discuss the day’s schedule with your guide.
You can have breakfast and depart for a full-day game carrying a picnic lunch. This allows you to have a better chance for wildlife viewing all day and return to the lodge in the late evening.
Alternatively, leave your camp/lodge for an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, enjoy another game drive.
Day 7 Another full day in Mara
The third full day in Mara enables you to see as many animals as you can.
If you’ll be visiting between July and October, things get busy in the Great Rift Valley. Millions of zebra and wildebeest cross the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. It’s the Great Wildebeest Migration season, a spectacle worth your time and money.
Day 8 Masai Mara to Nairobi
To end your safari adventure, you will be transferred to Nairobi from the Mara. You will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your accommodation facility.
